Yeouido has been developed as a financial district since the late 70's when the KRX(Korea Stock Exchange) moved to Yeouido from CBD.
Due to the resemblance of the district identity as a financial and banking hub of the city which is located in an island with a park, YBD is often referred to as the Wall Street of Korea.
